Pumpkin Pesto for Hormonal Health


What is one of the best natural hormone balancing foods available? Pumpkin seeds!

These seeds are wonderful for both men and women’s hormonal health and when used in cooking, snacks, or salads, they make it easy for us to get a healthy dose of delicious medicine.

Pumpkin seeds are a great source of omega fats, zinc, and protein, all essential for fertility, conception, hormone balance, sperm production, and proper immune function.

The added garlic, basil, olive oil, and avocado help to encourage blood flow, reduce blood clotting, reduce PMS symptoms, shrink fibroids, and regulate the menstrual cycle.

Ingredients for: 2 cups pesto

2.5 cups fresh basil
1 .5 cup kale
3/4 cup pumpkin seeds
3/4 avocado
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic
Juice of 1  lemon
1/2 tsp Himalayan rock salt

Optional: 1/2 tsp raw honey to sweeten


Blend ingredients in food processor or blender to desired consistency. Add more olive oil if thinner texture desired.

Use as a sauce on gluten-free pasta, pizza, or crackers, or as a dip for veggies.
